What is the first loop in Welding Simulator on Roblox?
Welding Simulator (Roblox) by Ice Panda Studios is a free simulation game (created 2026-10-07, last updated 2026-10-18 per Roblox metadata). The official description lists three weld methods: MIG (27 tasks in that description), Stick, and TIG, plus shop management such as hiring welders and larger build projects. This beginner page covers the walk → job → weld → inspect loop we saw on PC footage; shop upgrades and hired welders are outside this page’s scope, and Robux passes are listed on /items/game-passes/.
How do you reach your first welding booth?
In Jacob Jordan’s October 16, 2026 video, the player starts in a shared workshop and walks to a welding booth before any scoring happens. The same channel’s October 19, 2026 follow-up uses the same general layout after the Stick and TIG update. We have not verified mobile or controller paths (no touch tutorial appeared in those videos).
Once you are at a booth, the UI shifts from exploration to job selection and setup checklists. That is where MIG training begins in the footage we watched.
What does the Job Board show?
Both videos show a Job Board with MIG job rows, cash rewards, and MIG / STICK / TIG mode buttons along the bottom. STICK and TIG display lock icons until you advance in MIG (October 16, 2026; confirmed again October 19, 2026). The exact unlock rules are only partly verified; the list at the end of this page says what we could not confirm.

Early job names on the board (one video, one moment)
In Jacob Jordan’s October 16, 2026 video, a Job Board frame around 0:15 shows rows including Practice Coupler at $0 and other early MIG names such as Mini Welding Rod, Square Plate, Flat Plate, and Horizontal Plate with cash rewards beside them. Treat that list as what appeared on screen in that clip; job names, order, and payouts may change with balance patches.
What should you do before striking an arc?
Job detail panels in the October 16, 2026 video label joint types such as lap joint and butt joint and show plate thickness (for example 1/8 in on a practice coupon). Read that panel for the joint you selected; we do not have a verified list of all 27 MIG mission names or their order from Roblox APIs.
Helmet safety is explicit in the footage: the UI prompts Press H to drop your helmet before welding (October 16, 2026, about 1:00). On the same practice coupon UI in that video, the card also shows on-screen text 70+ to pass next to the payout line. We treat that as wording on that practice coupon only; we are not extending it to every job or to letter-grade badges (see /guides/grading-guide/).
Official helmet game pass text matches the idea of wearing head protection in the shop and flipping it down to weld (Roblox product-info, 2026-10-19).

During MIG, the same video shows you hold left mouse on a yellow line and follow a green dot (about 1:31). On-screen hints also list movement speed, torch guidance, and scroll input to adjust torch height or wire stick-out, plus R for retry/reset and F to finish a weld. For a full control breakdown focused on MIG technique, see /guides/mig-welding-guide/.
How does grading fit into progression?
When the bead is done, footage shows Finish and check (or equivalent copy) opening a Weld Inspection screen with a letter grade and score out of 100 (for example A with 96/100 PASSED in October 16, 2026 footage). We document score layouts and failure callouts on /guides/grading-guide/ because different clips show different metric bars; we do not merge them into one official chart.
Roblox badges (API snapshot 2026-10-19) reinforce the same letter theme at a high level: Certified Welder requires your first weld at C or better, Skilled Welder requires a B-grade weld, and Master Welder requires a perfect A weld. Badge award counts are listed on the grading guide; they are not step-by-step tutorials.
What unlocks after basic MIG jobs?
Two progression beats show up in Jacob Jordan’s October 16, 2026 video but may have changed after the October 18, 2026 Stick and TIG update:
- A certification plate test on the board appears to gate moving into customer work in that playthrough (about 18:12–18:42 in that video).
- A separate projects menu mentions larger builds such as a backyard grill and off-road bumper, distinct from single-plate coupons (about 10:04–10:34).
We treat those beats as single-video flow notes, not guaranteed current quest order. The October 19, 2026 video instead emphasizes finishing 27 MIG welds (subtitle at 16:18) before stick and argon-focused modes; that number aligns with the 27 MIG tasks line in Roblox’s game description but is still one spoken line, not a second filmed confirmation.
What can you buy with Robux later?
Welding income can be boosted by game passes such as 2x Cash, 3x Cash, VIP, Rush Hour, and Steady Hands (official descriptions on Roblox, 2026-10-19). Whether multipliers stack is officially unstated; compare descriptions on /items/game-passes/ before spending Robux. Cosmetic helmets are cataloged on /items/all-helmets/. One-time cash packs are developer products, not passes: /items/cash-packs-guide/.
