What does the shop side of Welding Simulator involve?
Ice Panda Studios describes Welding Simulator (Roblox) as a game where you weld jobs, then hire welders and upgrade your shop (game description read 2026-10-19). The description also names bigger builds such as horseshoes, gears, bridges, bike frames, and rockets that pay large cash rewards, and the official store thumbnails say “Hire welders. Grow it into a factory.”
In the two Jacob Jordan videos we watched, the shop appears in two places: a shop section on the Job Board that sells welding upgrades, and a Shop Manager panel for your crew and machines. This page is based on those videos (October 16 and 19, 2026) and on Roblox’s own data, not on our own playthrough, and the list at the bottom says what we could not confirm. For the booth basics first, see the beginner guide.
What does the top bar show?
On the shop floor, a bar across the top shows your cash, your income per second (shown as +$X/s), a Steel count, and a shop Rating out of 5. In the October 16, 2026 clip the bar read $0, +$0/s, Steel 30, and Rating 2.5 / 5 at the start; the October 19, 2026 frames show a Rating of 2.8 / 5. We have not verified what moves the Rating.
The Steel number matched the Steel on the rack tile in the same frame (7 plates), so it tracks the steel stored on your shelf.
What is the Shop Manager panel?
In the October 19, 2026 video the Shop Manager opens with the subtitle “Hire your crew, buy machines and grow your shop.” Four tiles sit across the top: Cash, Shop income per second, Steel on the rack, and Upgrades owned (0 / 27 in that frame). Under them is a row of ORDER buttons with prices, then two lists named READY TO BUY and COMING UP.
Frame from Jacob Jordan’s “Real WELDER tries Welding Simulator Again!” (YouTube, October 19, 2026), 16:48. Cropped to remove a picture-in-picture camera feed.
Items you cannot buy yet sit greyed under COMING UP. The one we could read, Hire a Second Welder, says it needs Hire a Welder first, so the lists work like a short unlock chain.
How do you hire your first welder?
Open the Shop Manager and look under READY TO BUY. In the frame above the first offer is Hire a Welder: “An AI welder takes the left worker bay and welds coupons all day.” The card carries a +$1 / sec tag and a BUY $150 button.
In the footage the first hired welder starts on plates and then moves to T-joints (about 16:48–17:50). The next card, Hire a Second Welder, stays locked until you own the first hire.
What do hired welders do, and how can they fail?
Frame from Jacob Jordan’s “Real WELDER tries Welding Simulator Again!” (YouTube, October 19, 2026), 19:48. Cropped to remove a picture-in-picture camera feed.
Hired welders work at their own bench or bay. The video shows a second hired welder stick-welding a plate (about 19:50–20:20). Stick is a separate mode on the Job Board that stays locked for the player until MIG progress (beginner guide); we do not know how the two relate.
They do not weld perfectly. The narrator shows hired welders burning through plate and wasting steel, and the line keeps running until the player steps in (about 20:20–20:53). You can lower a hired welder’s electrode speed when it keeps burning through plate. We have not verified how often failures happen or whether upgrades reduce them.
How does steel supply work?
Steel is the shop’s fuel. The Job Board says “Each weld uses one plate”, and the production line uses plates too: the Steel counter in the top bar ticked from 476 to 475 to 474 while the line ran (October 19, 2026, about 20:53–21:09). The narrator orders plates in bulk onto a storage shelf to keep the line fed (about 17:05–17:17). At about 21:09 he says “you only have 19 steel left”, a number that does not match the 474 in the top bar, so we cannot tell which counter he means, and we did not see an on-screen low-steel warning. The Shop Manager frame at 16:48 shows a row of ORDER buttons, but their labels are cut off, so we do not list pack sizes or prices.
Roblox sells two shortcuts. Auto Steel (R$ 49) has a truck stack steel on your shelf and restock it when it runs low, and Steel Drop (R$ 10) drops 300 plates on the rack at once. Prices and wording are on the game passes and cash packs pages.
What can you buy at the Job Board shop?
The Job Board has an UPGRADES list on its right-hand side that sells welding upgrades rather than crew. Prices are in game cash (the same Cash counter sits at the top of the board). The first four rows read the same in the October 16 and October 19, 2026 videos (about 0:25 and 2:28); the last two came into view when the list was scrolled in the October 19, 2026 video (about 2:28–2:40):
| Upgrade | Price | Text on screen |
|---|---|---|
| Clear-View Lens | $60 | Lighter auto-darkening shade. See the joint while the arc is lit. |
| Steady-Hand Gloves | $120 | Smooths out hand shake for straighter, more even beads. |
| Synergic Welder | $200 | Voltage sets itself to match your wire feed speed. |
| Anti-Spatter Nozzle | $350 | Ceramic nozzle and spatter gel. Far less spatter on your plates. |
| Pulse MIG Machine | $800 | Pulsed arc runs cooler. Much harder to burn through, and slow travel is forgiven. |
| Premium Wire | $1500 | Top-grade wire that customers pay extra for. All job pay +25%. |
The list scrolls and we read these six; the Shop Manager panel shows 0 / 27 upgrades owned in one frame, so there may be more. We have not tested what any of them do. A Practice Coupon inspection card in the October 19, 2026 video also ended with ORDER DELIVERED: Cracked mower deck - the customer paid $240 (about 1:20), so a delivered customer order shows up on the inspection card.
Which passes and packs touch shop income?
Official pass text describes 2x Cash as doubling weld pay, customer orders, project bonuses, and your shop’s income every second. VIP adds +20% to all income, and Rush Hour brings customers twice as often with 50% more per order. The Cash Bag, Cash Crate, and Cash Vault packs pay a window of shop income (15 minutes, 75 minutes, or 6 hours) with a stated minimum.
Roblox does not say whether the multipliers combine, and we did not see them tested, so we do not promise a total. Full tables: game passes and cash packs. Codes, if any are ever published, are tracked on the codes page.
Is there a factory stage?
The official store thumbnails promise a later “Run the factory” stage with “Robots, presses and a crew that earns for you.” In the footage we watched, the first hired welder works a production line, but we did not see robots or presses, and nothing on screen said what unlocks a factory stage. Treat the factory as announced by Roblox’s own art but unconfirmed in gameplay.
Sources and what we could not verify
Sources used
- Roblox game description, game passes, and developer products (read 2026-10-19): hire-and-upgrade framing, Auto Steel, 2x Cash, VIP, Rush Hour, Steel Drop, and the three cash packs.
- Official store thumbnail text via the Roblox thumbnails API (read 2026-10-19): “Hire welders. Grow it into a factory.” and “Robots, presses and a crew that earns for you.”
- Jacob Jordan, “Real WELDER tries Welding Simulator Again!” (2026-10-19): Shop Manager panel, hire flow, hired welder behavior and failures, the Steel counter and bulk orders, other players’ plots, the Job Board upgrade list with prices and text, the order-delivered card, top bar.
- Jacob Jordan, “Real WELDER tries Welding Simulator” (2026-10-16): top bar at the start of a new game, the first four upgrade rows on the Job Board.
- Official game page: Welding Simulator on Roblox.
Correction (2026-10-19): an earlier version of this page said a steel remaining warning appeared on screen and listed upgrade names without prices. We saw no such warning, and the upgrade names, prices and text were readable, so both lines were replaced.
Still unverified for the shop
- Prices and income tags of every hire beyond the first card we read, and the upgrade rows below Premium Wire (the full list behind the 0 / 27 counter).
- What each upgrade does in play; we list only the text printed on the Job Board.
- What unlocks the factory stage, robots, or presses.
- What raises the shop Rating.
- Typical income per second at any stage; we publish none.
- Whether hired welders keep working while you are away, and how failures scale.
- Whether passes and packs stack.
- Anything that changed in the October 18, 2026 update that the October 16 video predates.
